Part of the Maxum team and one of the innovators of RedBull’s Cape Fear is Mark Mathews. Mathews is straight out of Sydney’s Maroubra and is a member of the infamous surf collective the ‘Bra Boys’. Once intimidated by the fierce nature of the ocean he is a three time consecutive Oakley Big Wave Award winner and is one of the most accomplished and talented big wave surfers in the world.

The RedBull Cape Fear is a knock-out style competition where Surfers are pitted against each other to ride the big waves across Sydney.
